Made your little stove in about an hour last night! Most of that time spent trying to get the bottom stretched a bit - ended up cutting a slit and overlapping the top edge just a tad and that did the trick. Since the overlapped bit ends up squeezed shut once the top and bottom are slid together it didn't present a problem.

Took my sons out on the porch and aaalmost boiled some water :D Need to make a wider one next time!

Thank you for such clear instructions, they were very easy to follow.

I've been thinking about typing 'DIY Alcohol Stove' into Google for a month in the backcountry. Your's is precisely the solution I was looking for. Thank you oh so much.

nice little stove, i may try to build it one day, but i have just bought an original triangia, at £10, from outdoor world a camping shop in Deansgate, Manchester, UK. That was just for the burner, no equipment, not even the windshield, but not to worry as ive made a nice priming pan out of an empty tin of tuna!!! tomorrow im going to the supermarket to find a nice piece of tin or ally for an windshield, and another can for an stand! I tried the cooker just a while back using some meths, and was amazed to see it burning, i may go and find a cheap gaz product as another backup, as in the national parks here in the UK, the authorities dont like camp fires. best regards, Dave KOZ.

Louder than I expected! Ironically, it knocked my safety goggles off the garage wall... I took that as a hint.
