…photos and record time…

So, this has been a busy couple months for me. My knee is holding up just great, and I’m back to full speed on the bike. In fact, I broke my commute time record a little over a week ago. I did my commute to work (normally a 16.5-18 min ride) in 15:02. That’s door to door (I can ride my bike from the front door of my house to the door of my shop). My average speed was a record 16.2mph! That’s an average speed. I was cooking down Nimitz Highway at 20-22mph that morning (between lights). Anyway, I’m pretty happy with my time and progress. Oh, and that was on my hybrid with front and rear racks, a trunk bag, front panniers, and about 8 lbs of work stuff…

In other updates, I’ve uploaded photos of the airshow we had here in October, and of my 2yr old picking out her pumpkin. I also found out that my free flickr account will only display the last 200 photos uploaded. So, some of my earlier bike photos won’t display. I’ll decide later whether to upgrade the account, or be more selective about uploaded photos.

Well, the SuperFerry fiasco has made some positive progress. They were able to wade through the pool of crap thrown at them and get a special session where a bill was passed that allows the SuperFerry to continue operations while the State conducts an environmental impact survey (yes, the same one the State told the SuperFerry they didn’t have to do). So, there should be some deals coming up soon. Maybe I can start planning my bike tour of Maui sooner rather than later.

Let’s see, what else?… Oh, I don’t think I’ve posted this yet, but we are having another baby! Due date is Jan 22, 2008. It’s a BOY! We’ve picked a name for him: Elliot Lee Stone. So, what do you think? I think it’s pretty cool.
